    Default One person tent.

    Hi,

Can someone please help? I'm looking for a one man tent with a porch in which you could place a seat in and maybe use a stove or read in. I have looked on a great many web sites but with no joy!

    Thanks

1 man tents are designed to small and lightweight. That means minimising material which means they always have a low roof and a porch designed for a rucksack, a stove and a pair of boots. That's all. I doubt there's one on the Market. A two man tent will open up loads more options.

    Hi Austin,

I thought as much, but thanks for your help. Whilst I have your attention could you tell me is it safe to use a stove inside a one man tent ie when it's pouring it down outside?

    Thanks again

You could use a stove inside but I wouldn't advise it. If zipped up you won't have enough ventilation and as the inner will inevitably be cluttered up with all your gear not much room which means there is a risk of the stove tipping up or worse setting fire to the tent.

1 person tents sell coz they appeal on a technical level but they ate generally hugely impractical. Perversely they are best suited for use on on camp sites with a pib nearby having got there by car. You then have somewhere to sit out bad weather - the pub, and store your gear - the car. I had a Terra Nova Solar minor - trust me, I know.

Best getting a compact 2 man tent, in fact I will sell you a Vango TBS200 or a Caravan Kaipek2. Both £25 posted. Both in good condition.

Please dont cook in your tent i found these blogs:

Can I cook in my tent? « campingsitesinbritain

Caravan And Camping Advice ***8211; Fire related Please read « campingsitesinbritain

I would say NEVER cook in your tent!!

its not worth the risk, always cook outside, a bit of rain wont hurt you but your tent setting a light might, sorry to be so harsh, but once you have seen it, it really puts you off cooking in a tent.

Hi, I think you are finding a 2x2m pop up gazebo tent, I think the 2x2m pop up gazebo in Quictent could meet your special needs. To be frank, I have one such a small tent, and I got much joy from it. May this info. could do some thing for you.
There is a must for you to own a strong marquee for your outdoor games, especially if the place you live is always coming with heavy wind.
