    Default Vango Venture 500

Ok so I pitched this tent up at the weekend to have a look at it (with paleriders help) and it wasn***8217;t too bad to pitch considering we had never done it before.

This tent is very big considering its small pack size; there is 1 big bedroom at the back that can be made into 2 smaller rooms with the supplied hanging sheet. The porch area could easily seat 3-4 people and is high enough for me to stand-up in at just over 6ft tall.

The tent comes with the inner to put in but can be packed down with it left in so will be easier next time to put up. The poles were not confusing and went in with relative ease. It took us about 20 minutes to pitch but this was our first attempt and we took our time to make sure all was where it should be, I reckon this time could be halved once you know the layout well. 13 minutes was the time to take it down but again we were taking our time and paleriders grandson found it most amusing to jump in the middle of it whilst trying to fold it over (little git ).

We didn***8217;t peg in any of the guy ropes as we were just testing the tent out but once these are in I***8217;m sure it would bring the tent more taught and the shape would be much better than in the pics. I***8217;ve yet to spend a night in this tent but I can see no reason why it would not be comfortable considering the large porch area and big bedroom.

    Me stood in the porch...

paleriders grandson ready to spend the night?

Pack size against the Khyam Biker. (biker 5kg vango 11kg) the vango packs a little larger when back in its back after the initial erection (quiet at the back )

    Hope that helps...

    Craig.

Good Review Craig. It looks like you will have plenty room there. At least we know whose tent to head for to break open the beers when the rain sets in in at the national in Ullapool
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu
