Default Vango Dart DS 300 Popup tent

My son wanted a pop-up tent so we've been looking for a while to find the right thing.

Some of the pop-up tents seem quite flimsy and wouldn't stand much abuse or rain for that matter.

He also wanted enough room to sleep two.

Noticing that some of the pop-ups were double skinned also seemed like a good idea.

So anyway we went for a Vango Dart 300 DS.....

We got it from Somerset Camping for £49.99 (which they price matched from a competitor). Big vote actually for Somerset Camping they offer excellent service.

    Back to the Vango.
It hasn't been properly tested by us, but it was pitched in the back garden in a matter of seconds! It was quite fun to see it explode.... in a controlled way.

Getting it back in the purpose bag was interesting but we managed it without too much difficulty.
The bag it comes with has straps to hang the whole thing on your back and the tent and bag together don't weigh very much at all.

Presumably it packs away to a disc shape like the similar pop-up tents?

The lad hasn't used it anger yet so no real world test to go by I'm afraid.
However when choosing, this type with the double skin seemed worthwhile from what I know about camping.
All I could imagine was stuff touching the single skin and rain seeping through.
At least with a double skin you have a fighting chance of that not happening.
We looked at the Outwell version and this one and the quality seemed the same in both with the Outwell being more expensive.
